FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: St. Petronille Church Vespers Series Presents Chicago Youth Symphony OrchestraSunday, October 28, 2007 - 5:00 pmThe Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra will be performing a free concert at St. Petronille Church, Glen Ellen on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 5:00 pm . The orchestra is under the direction on CYSO Music Director, Allen Tinkham. Of the 110 students in the Symphony Orchestra, 31 performers are from Glen Ellyn and surrounding areas. The program will feature: Berlioz - The Roman Carnival Overture, Barber - Medea Dance of Vengance , Respighi - Fountains of Rome, R. Strauss - Salomes Dance . The concert will be approximately 60 minutes. The Symphony Orchestra is an internationally recognized orchestra consisting of the most advanced high school-age musicians in the greater Chicago area. The orchestra performs annually at Symphony Center 's Orchestra Hall, and participates in educational programs and collaborations with the regions top cultural institutions including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Ravinia Festival. The orchestra has recently performed at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig , Germany and Smetana Hall in Prague , Czech Republic on their recent European Tour in June 2007 to rave accolades. St. Petronille Church is located at 420 Glenwood Avenue in Glen Ellyn , Illinois This event is free and open to the public.
