The last few weeks of every school year are an exciting time for nearly everyone in Valley View School District 365U. With proms, graduations, concerts, sporting events, plays, and many more special occasions, it seems every day brings a new opportunity to share the joy of discovering lessons learned, and achievements to be celebrated. We would like to present a list of a few of the events for the coming weeks. It is certainly not comprehensive, especially considering additional elementary school events; most schools have even more events not listed here. We would ask that our community partners might consider sharing the enclosed information to employees and directors of your respective organizations, particularly the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra performance on Sunday, May 6, 2007.

Although it is not directly school-related, the Bolingbrook High School Music Department would like to bring to your attention a special performance at Bolingbrook High School on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. by the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. This is the first time that CYSO has performed in Bolingbrook. The performance is free to the public, however, donations will be accepted at the door.

Brittany Walker, a Bolingbrook High School student, is a member of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. Most of the group's rehearsals and performances are at Orchestra Hall, in downtown Chicago. Despite not having an orchestra program in Valley View, Brittany is the third Walker sibling to audition for, and be accepted to the CYSO over the years..
