CYCO Announces 2005 Concerto Competition Winners

The Chicago Youth Concert Orchestra's 2005 Concerto Competition took place on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Roosevelt University. Twenty-one talented Chicago Youth Concert Orchestra students competed for the chance to perform in concert with the CYCO next season. The two first place winners were Zoe Hilbert , oboe, who performed Haydn's Concerto in C major and Masha Popova , flute, who performed Chaminade's Concertino. Both Zoe and Masha will be featured soloists with the CYCO next season. Honorable mention was awarded to John Park for his performance of Vieuxtemps' Concerto No. IV.
