board of directors :: Julia Nowicki, director

Julia Nowicki is a founding member of The Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra over twenty years ago. Her musical career began in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as she played cello for the Music For Youth Orchestra and the All-City Orchestras, as well as a string quartet coached by Bernard Milofsky, a former violist with the Pro Arte Quartet. She currently plays the cello in various chamber groups and occasionally performs for various social events.

In her professional career Ms. Nowicki has worked in both private law offices and for the City of Chicago. Her last position was Circuit Court Judge of Cook County. She has also worked as an instructor and lecturer at local universities including Northwestern University and Loyola University.
