board of directors :: Edward J. McCaffrey, vice chair

Ted McCaffrey joined the CYSO Board in 1999 and has served as Finance Chair for the last 5 years. His son, Peter, now a cellist with the Louisville Symphony, and his daughter, Jennifer, a pianist, were members of the CYSO. The quality of his children's experiences in the orchestra was the inspiration for his joining the Board.

Professionally, Ted is involved with investing in both small and large companies through the Bank of America. He is p art icularly interested in young companies which, he says, have similarities to music ensembles. Specifically, the magic that can result from the passionate teamwork of a few people all working to create something unique is a treasure.
