How would you listen differently if you felt the sound? Evelyn Glennie is a percussionist who happens to have severely impaired hearing. So, in order to “listen” she actually “feels” the sound through the vibrations of the rhythms. Hi! I’m Kathryn, an Operations Assistant here at Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, and I’d like to welcome you to the new CYSO blog!

As you can see, it’s been a little while since our last update, but that doesn’t mean we’ve just been sitting around sight reading through Beethoven (even though that’s a great way to spend some time).
