By supporting CYSO you become a major part of one of the premier youth orchestras in the country. Each season, thousands of gifted musicians and Chicago Public School students participate in our ensembles and education programs… programs that are made possible with your support. Tuition only covers one fifth of the total cost of each student's participation in CYSO. We depend on support from our patrons and volunteers to make up the difference and help maintain the high-quality and enriching musical experiences our students and audiences have come to expect.
Over the years, CYSO students have gone on to become orchestra members of some of the most recognized names in the world of classical music including: The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The New York Philharmonic, The Academy of Saint Martin-In-The-Fields, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and many others. By giving to CYSO, you are not only supporting its programs, but the virtuosic musicians of tomorrow and the future of classical music.
