Audition Requirements
Auditions are approximately 8 minutes long.
Please note that audition judges may ask any candidate to sight read.

Strings
• Two contrasting movements or solo pieces
• Orchestral excerpt provided by CYSO 
  -Your excerpt will be provided after your application is received. The orchestral excerpt is only required if you wish to be considered for Symphony Orchestra. If you wish to be considered for Concert Orchestra, Debut Orchestra, Accelerando Strings, Preparatory Strings or Chamber Music, you do not need to prepare it.

Winds & Brass
• Two contrasting movements or solo pieces 
• Three orchestral excerpts of your choice

Percussion
• Snare Drum Solo or Etude 
• Timpani Solo or Etude
• Xylophone orchestral excerpt of your choice
• Tambourine, Triangle, or Crash Cymbal orchestral excerpt of your choice (choose one)

Harp & Piano
• Two contrasting movements or solo pieces
• Harp: Two orchestral excerpts of your choice
• Piano: Two orchestral excerpts provided by CYSO
  -Your excerpts will be provided after your application is received.
