Allan Steele, SO cello, won third prize in the 2009 Blount-Slawson Young Artists Competition. He was one of approximately 80 young musicians from across the country who competed during the event, held January 31 and February 1 at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL.

Allan was also a finalist in the 2009 ASTA National Solo Competition.
